Lost place in series

Have you ever started reading a series (when there's only a few books out), then waiting for the new books you move on to other books but still buy the series, however never getting to them. THEN when you realize there are 12 books in the series you forget where you left off? So what to do? Start from the beginning? Hope you start where you left off?

Well, that was my dilemma when I got back to Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series. *sigh* I remembered book 1 & 2, but really hazy about 3 & 4.  So, I've re-read 3 & 3.5 & now about to start book 4. Since I have all the rest, that will be the book series I'll be reading for the summer since we have several trips planned this summer.

Have you found yourself in that situation? Do you start over? Have you ever re-read an entire series over?  Let's talk :D

Do you like dragons?

Last week was a bit of a doozy. So much going on (still is, but managed to get some free time) this time of the year. Looking forward to June 13th when my life settles for the summer & I can really concentrate on some things I've been lacking in.

Anyway, I got a chance to read the start of a great YA series by Chris Cannon. There are 2 books out so far & recommended by an awesome friend who knows my tastes in books. The books "Going Down in Flames" & "Bridges Burned" center on a 16 year old girl, Bryn, who discovers she's a hybrid dragon & forced to leave the life she knew of humans & family to integrate herself into dragon society. I'm certainly no reviewer, but if you like dragons, you'll really enjoy this book. The twists will keep you on the edge of your seat & intrigued wondering what will happen to Bryn next. Let's just say that I read both books in a week (I gave up many hours of sleep & had to force myself to turn off my kindle to get a few hours). Can't wait for the next one.
